    averatec av6130h1-10 video upgrade?

    Does anyone know if the video card in the av6130h1-10 can be upgraded?

    Nope. The card in is the ATI 9600 Mobility AGP 8X. The only way you can upgrade a notebook video card is to buy a Notebook that has PCI Express. The 9600 is a pretty good video card.

    I thought the video in this laptop might be a seperate card and
    not soldered to the motherboard.I was hoping i could upgrade to an ATI mobility 9700 or 9800 with 128 or 256 megs of ram.i can play doom 3 ok and quake 4 but would like to be able to turn on more graphic features. Thanks again.

    No problem. The card in the 6130hs does have it's own dedicated video memory.
