    battery change : what model?

    let's say my battery becomes defective after 3 years and the HEL80 model becomes outdated on the market. where can i find a new battery that fits this laptop? is there any other brand that can be used on compal machines? i'm worried because the shape of the HEL80 battery is so uncommon...

    It seems like all the laptop batteries are uniquely shaped these days. I don't see Compal going out of business though. Compal is huge, so rest easy.

    That would be a great question to ask your reseller. I don't foresee getting a replacement battery in the next few years to be a problem though.

    There are vendors out there that can rebuild your batteries and put new cells in it if they discontinue that model battery.

    Batteries Plus if you are in the states can be your friend if you need battery.
