The SXS37 can be ordered with either XP or Vista.
Which gives better battery life with the X3100 graphics?
And does the XP come with SP3?

I would say that if you disable Vista's eye candy and other power-guzzling features then can be at least as good as XP when it comes to battery life. Vista's advanced settings under the power options are more comprehensive than XP so there's better potential for tweaking.

John, is absolutely right, but PowerGear does work better in XP we are seeing because of Vista's advanced power mangagement features, so if you were going to just have the PowerGear handle your power management XP would be a better bet for such. Yes will be the latest XP if you choose such, each machine is built at time of order.
