    beep sound on 6130HS

    is there a way to turn off the beep sound when the laptop is turned on? it's kind of annoying.

    The only way it could be done would be thru the BIOS, and at this time nobody has found a working BIOS update that addresses this, and Averatec support seems completly unaware that this is an option. I have located some BIOS upgrades that are CLOSE...but close dosent work in the world of BIOS flashing...only elections and nuclear weapons.

    a per use remedy is to plug something into the line out port. Then all sound will be redirected to that port. Including the POST beep.

    thanks!!! i just plugged in the headphones and it stopped the beep.
