    *sorry for the bad english*

ok. it all began with hellgate london game. the laptop turned itself off about 2 times playing this game, and at the time i didnt care much... until now... the GPU temperature is always higher than 75º/76º C.

Since I couldnt access the temperature information on the bios I now have a couple of temperature monitoring software and the temperature is always the same. I mean... When my room is hot(hum. my house is really really warm btw) my laptop can shut itself down only for watching movies.. when it reaches the 95ºC+ ITS NOT NORMAL

It has to be something that went wrong inside, because a few months ago I tried out the 3d MARK software and my laptop was fine... and now it can only do the first test!!

Now... I think that the graphics fan may be broken or something.. since this isnt normal at all and i couldnt find anyone reporting a temperature this high.
Please tell me what you think, or if someone has ever had this problem ...

p.s. I bought an antec cooler from amazon that will arrive the next few days... i really hope that at least...it can allow me to play normally again.. :(

    thanks...

Are the fans turning at all? The first thing we recommend to people with this problem, is to clean out the notebook with some compressed air. It sometimes works wonders. The best way to do this is to remove all the panels from the bottom of the notebook and blow the air into the Exhaust vent. The reason for this is because dust/dirt/debris will usually collect on the inside of the exhaust grill. This usually clears it up.

    HDD 38ºC
    core 0 58ºC
    core 1 57ºC
    CORE 79ºC

Yes, core 1 & 2 are the CPU's. Which application are you using to report the temperatures?

    I'm using Core temp 0.96.

If I am not mistaken the FL90 only has one fan for both the CPU and GPU. You could try to get permission from who you purchased the laptop from to remove the heatsink/heatpipe from the GPU to reapply the thermal compound.

Interesting, I used speed fan and it reported core 1 and 2; 34C and 35C respectively. However core temp 0.96 reports 51C for both cores.

So it looks like speed fan is inaccurate, I wish it was on the 30C the temp of my cores, but 50C's is more accurate.

Try comp temp 0.96 and tell me the figures, if I'm correct your temperatures will sky rocket, which is really bad, very bad.

i opened it again... and ran the 3d mark with the laptop all opened bellow, and the laptop turned upwards, so the ventilation was better... and the test was completed until the end this time. it didnt shut down. however, when it stopped and went back to the desktop the temperature was 94ºC O_O
and yes... it has only one fan im afraid :S but it is working properly.. i seriously dont understand this

    ok
my stats with comp temp are:
    core #0 63ºC
core#1 63ºC (but where does the gpu appears here??)

BUT you were right... speed fan acuses something different:

    core 0 48C
    core 1 47C

    now im confused

The normal temps for my T7700 are between 49C to 56C. But they go up considerably in the 60-70C when playing a game. I don't play games with my lap so I'm safe. The max juction temp is 100C, so be careful to reach that temp otherwise you will fry your CPU's.

I don't know see the GPU temp using the speedfan application.
