Its a web camera so with the right software that will detect the webcam i am sure it will record off it( i dont know about the quality though).

As for drivers look in the Sager NP2090/COMPAL IFL90 FAQ. It list a couple of sites where you can dl the drivers(iif you reseller provided a driver cd it might be on there)

    Hello there

I will buy soon a fantastic COMPAL IFL90, I have it on the shop, and I'm configuring the laptop there with the help of the dude of the shop.

    However, I have a doubt.

I have installed on it Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bits. I have installed and all is working perfectly

However... I dont find the webcam software.

Every webcam have a software, I'm not talking about the drivers, I have the drivers, I'm talking about the software to control the webcam.

Of course, with Messenger, you can control the webcam... but the best, is to use the webcam's propietary software to configure it well in different environments (in the street, at home, in a dark room...)

So the good thing is having the software of the webcam... to configure it well.

But where is the software?

In the shop dont know nothing about this software.

The laptop have a nice webcam of 2.0 megapixels... but I dont know where is the software of that webcam?

Someone here could give me a link of the webcam software?

    Thanks

That's a good point. I had a few USB WebCams and they come with drivers and software. The software allows for recording videos to a file, setting up the image processing, etc. A driver really doesn't do anything except to allow the OS to work with the webcam.

Does the IFL90 have such a software?

Some webcams usually come with only drivers.
Unlike some big companies, their cameras may come with extra software for you to play with.

In this case, you may have to find a 3rd party to run your webcam, the property screen portion of cam is the same no matter what kind of program you choose to use..

Windows XP/Vista may detect the cam in the explorer just like scanner, and you may try to use it from there.

Or, you can try Webcam Timershot from Microsoft Toys (XP users).
