    discountlaptops.com questions I need answered - URGENT PLEASE HELP

    I am about to order an HGL30 from discountlaptops.com (why not powernotebooks.com? I live in Mexico and they have no international support, I have not confirmed discounlaptops.com as of having international support, but it says so on resellerratings.com), but I need to know a couple of things (I unfortunately can't call their extended support line, as I live in Mexico) before I order it:

    1. Can they ship to hotels? My dad is going to the states in a couple of days and I should hopefully be able to get it in time to him to bring it back here.

    2. Usually how long is their processing time? I will need this to be shipped in a hurry, but $75 for 1-day shipping is a bit excessive, while $45 is a lot more sensible.

    3. Is the international warranty, which I have only seen mentioned on resellerratings.com, for real? I am hoping I will not need to ship it back, but knowing myself I'll probably break something eventually.

    I will need to order this laptop ASAP, as my dad will only be in the US until next friday, so please reply as soon as possible.

    I think you will find that they ship Internationally, but all repairs (in or out of warranty) are only done at the US factory. You would have to pay the shipping both ways.

    They can probably ship to a US hotel if you send them a wire transfer, but you will probably need to use Next Day or 2nd Day shipping. Their shipping prices are good...just go to www.ups.com or www.fedex.com yourself to figure out what the actual cost is.

    Yes, definitely contact them directly through email since you seem to be unable to call. They can answer all of your questions.

    They can also tell you what their processing time would be, etc.

    I think that would be more helpful than speculation by the rest of us.

    I tried emailing them before, but I will do so again, thanks for all the help anyways.

    PS. I was not implying the shipping prices were bad, just that I am having to pay this myself, and being a student, I'm going to owe my parents quite a lot of money ;)
