...Anyways, I've had similar problems with my IC Power laptop bought from walmart - 6 months old and it's been with IC Power for the past 2.

    1. Problems when the CD is closed the power shuts off.
    2. Low wifi pickup ability.
    3. Charger not working.
    (etc.)

IC Power has almost no support staff, you will be sorry if you buy anything from them.

This thread is one of the first that come up when googling the company, so I hope this post will help others to choose not to deal with IC Power.

    Summary - IC Power sux.

Yeah, typical problems. I've been able to get by with the low wifi signal. Memory upgrade worked fine. What really irks me is that I'll be typing and all of a sudden the cursor is in a different place or non-existent, so half of what I just typed is in the middle of another paragraph, or it's just gone. After a few times in one sitting, I feel like punching the thing and throwing it away. Next laptop will definitely NOT be IC Power!

Piece of crap and the service is even worse. Can't load games and they could not even explain an error message I was getting. Loaded the same game on my other laptop and desktop at home. Talked to a supervisor named Barrie who says she is just under the CEO of the company and they all talked it over in the tech department and said it had to be a compatiablity problem with the game. Why buy something that says its compatable and not. Also the disk drive compartment is very touchy and hard to keep closed. JP

Question: Can you buy a replacement casing for an IC power laptop, you know the part that has the IC power logo on the top of the laptop, because mine is cracked all over and I need to replace it. Thank you.

Well, why did I buy it from Wal-Mart?

I bought a desktop and thought "The Specs suit me well, decent reviews, cheap" I sure as hell didn't expect a hinge to fall off.

Obviously I was wrong, and made a huge mistake.

Well.. just another owner of an IC Laptop here ... I have lost the power cord and when I went to Best Buy (first place to think of ... obviously the person who bought it thought Wal-Mart) and they didnt even know what I was talking about when I told them the name... so I went to Wal-Mart and bought the only one they had... desperate... I got it home and plugged it up and it was working perfectly.. then I kept getting a low battery warning so I cut it off.. and now nothing.... no blinking to let me know it's charging .. nothing... and its been 4 hours... here are the specs to the cord I bought...

    Any help is greatly appreciated

I got 2 power supplies on Ebay. Both work, but the plug on the end of one was wrong. Had to find another and solder it on. Still, much cheaper than the generic ones they sell in the stores and the right voltages. Good luck!

    Hi,
It was built by IC Power......bought out by ECS and is now supported by ECSUSA.COM. I just deleted a manual...if I can retrieve it from the recycle bin I'll make a disk of it for you. I have a hard copy...CN5560

Anyone know if the keyboards are replaceable on these laptops?

Mine still works pretty well but the keys on the keyboard seem to be breaking one by one.....
