I have an HEL80 since August 2006. I recently bought an external hard drive w/ triple interface (UBS 2.0 / FireWire 400 / eSata 3 GB/s) because I already use all my USB ports. Since then, I have been using the FireWire interface.
Questions:
1) Can I use the eSata with my laptop with either PCMCIA 2 or ExpressCard?
2) Generally speaking, which is faster: PCMCIA 2 or ExpressCard?
3) Will eSata through PCMCIA 2 or ExpressCard be faster than FireWire 400?
4) Which card should I buy?
Thanks

1. Yes
2. ExpressCard is WAY faster than PCMCIA. See http://www.expresscard.org/web/site/about.jsp
3. Yes. ExpressCard data transfer rate is 2.5GB/s vs. 400MB/s on the IEEE 1394 (Firewire 400)
4. Google for an e-SATA ExpressCard. You will see several choices. For example http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TQVONM -
