Would be nice if someone creates an ultimate dummy guide to flash the bios for the IFL90.

Well, it's no ultimate dummy guide, but it'll show ya what you need to do (eventually):

You're wishing for an ultimate guide for dummies or for a guide for ultimate dummies?

search with google for the USB tool from HP, this will make it easy to create a bootable USB stick.
Search for the file like windows 98se bootdisk, this is needed when creating the bootable USB stick.
Download the file from the location with the bios update check the file reboot machine make sure to select the correct boot device, the rest is history. -
When I downloaded the HP tool it already included DOS boot files in the package. Just need to map the formating tool to those files when prompted.
An easy and smooth process really. -
Is it necessary to flash the bios for these?/How can I tell if I need to update?
-
I have not seen any improvements on my system. Probably you won't needed. Check BIOS documentation for fix details.
I was having some issues in XP so I thought it would help...nothing new.
