hi guys, one of the reasons i brought a 6214w was so that in future games i could run them in 1024*768 with black borders on the sides (a review told me of this) if the native resolution was too high. just wondering, how would i force this resolution in games without stretching to full screen and without displaying the game in a window with windows behind it?

I can't remember how I did it exactly, but it is easy. It's in the video drivers somewhere. I'm not on the laptop at the moment, but if no one's been more helpful before tomorrow I'll have a look and post a proper explanation.

open the forceware control box (in system tray) right click go to /nvidia display/ laptop display, in the bar on the right go to geforce7600/digital flat panel settings then click the box for centered output and click apply ;)
