I must say I really like the MX... its light... nice screen...solid keyboard... fast...really fast....

It does get a little warm... nothing major...but its warm.

The one thing I found I dislike... overall its solid.. but there is a VERY weak spot under the right side palm rest area where there is an access cover screwed on... it flexes ALOT...to the point it creaks and twists when lifted there...and when you rest your hand on the right it does as well... VERY WEAK area compared to the rest. All it would have taken was a minor change where the access cover had a lip or reinforced tab to keep it from flexing... hopefully it holds up in that area...its seems pretty weak.

i do like everything else about it. I will post more as I use it and get accustomed to it.

so far the unit is pretty good... the weak spot I mentioned above is noticeable more and more...but nothing show stopping.

I found another minor annoyance... the keyboard is great in firmness however the keys seem to have alot of space between them and under them which causes my fingertips to often "snag" the corners of surrounding keys when typing.

I am pretty happy with it so far... and if they were able to fix those two areas - key gap and weak spot, this would be a perfect unit.

more to follow as I continue to use it....

I've been playing with my MX for 24 hours now and I haven't noticed the minor problems that you are talking about. I guess they are there, but it doesn't bother me. Hmmm

Is that the area with the card slots? I think most, if not all, units have some give by the card slots because it is empty space.

no...what flexes is the plastic cover on the bottom.. it covers the harddrive. if they just designed a lip under the cover it would not flex.

the key gap is somewhat annoying...my fingers keep "hooking" surrounding keys

    everything else is great however.

    Ivan,

would you have any feedback ability with Asus? If so, please pass along my comments about the need to reinfoce the plastic cover on the right side bottom... it does flex and creak a great deal.

Also, lessen the gap between the keys.

Fix those two items and this unit would be top notch!

Overall I am very happy with it.
