I purchased an HGL-30 just over 2 years ago using the advice of these forums. This was my main computer up until about 6mo ago. Everything worked great except for my battery not holding a charge and one of the fans needing to be lubed.

Last night I went to wake my laptop up from sleep over the weekend. When the monitor came back up, the display was askew before going black. I rebooted the laptop thinking it had locked up and now i dont get anything even during POST.

Being that POST takes place before any specific drivers are loaded, im thinking it the GPU. Am i on the right track? any ideas on where i can get a replacement??

Assuming you're talking about the same laptop as in your 'sig', you've probably got a 3 year warranty. Give 'em a call.

thought id check back in for any future reference. After I posted I pulled out my original documentation and noticed the 3yr warranty. I got my laptop shipped out today under an RMA to see what Powernotebooks can do.

    Thanks!
