basically... i got my zepto laptop delivered about 6 weeks ago and it didnt switch on, so i sent everything back to them as they told me to do. about 3 weeks later, the laptop got delivered but there was nothing else along with it, ie no power cables and no installation cd's. so i got in touch with zepto again and they said they would send me out the stuff that was missing. i got that today and everything is there, except from the zepto installation cd.
when the laptop got delivered the 2nd time round, it wasnt packaged properly, it was merely wrapped in some bubble wrap, the packaging was open and i didnt even have to open the package further to get the laptop out. it was quite unacceptable, there are now a couple of scratches on the laptop.
i think i should get a brand new working laptop, not one which has been repaired.
i wouldn't encourage anyone to purchase anything from zepto, as i think their customer service is a disgrace.

My laptop also came with not-such-a-good-packing, but i can understand it since the machine i bought had been in the local Zepto representative's shop as a demonstration computer with Vista in it. It shouldn't have had Vista in it when it came to me, but still there was Vista Premium install CD in the package and a license in the bottom. I would've been silent about it, but the DVD drive was a tray model, not a slot-in as i wanted. So, i sent the wrong items back to them after i got a new DVD drive. They don't sell Plextor drives, but i still got one instead of some noisy Sony version.
But, i'm still pretty satisfied with their customer service.
As for your case, you could demand a fund return, or switch it for a brand new one. If Zepto is not willing to do that, contact your local consumer servicer. -
outta curiosity, which zepto is this from?

So I stared at my new 1500 notebook in disbelief for a minute, put it back into the box and sent it in for repairs.
When it came back from repairs I switched it on and the screen came on.... with artifacts.
Disbelief again and some other emotions and back into the box again.
After the second repairs it worked properly. I have been able to use it without any problems and with much joy I must say, until I did a clean XP install again.
After that I could not install my Lancard anymore. I have been in contact with Rene and Tofen from Zepto on this forum and they have given me advice to fix the problem but their instructions offered no solution.
I have had to bring it in for a third repair, the motherboard has to be changed.
It is clear there is a problem with the combination of 6615WD, XP and the BIOS version 1.10.
By now I have emailed with several other 6615 owners with exactly the same problem because of this BIOS. They also have had either their mobo changed or are waiting for this repair.
I have asked a Zepto representative on this forum some questions about the availability of the necessary new mobo a couple of times but unfortunately I do not get any replies anymore from Zepto.
When showing off my great laptop (It is great if it works, really, no sarcasm) friends and colleagues were impressed. They are not anymore and neither am I, working on an old borrowed stone-age laptop now.
My 2 cents -
The service you have recieved so far is very dissapointing.I will not deny this. This is not how we would like our customers to be treated. We are going to swap your machine over for a Brand new one which I will arrange today. I will also send you some extras as a apology from us. I will send you an email with more details. Apologies again for your wasted time and effort, I hope I can restore your faith in Zepto again. Iann
