Also this is a little off topic but under my device manger I have two icons with the yellow question mark base system device and video controller . The video driver from the website gives me an ati driver however this laptop has onboard. Sorry about all the questions but any help would greatly be appreciated thanks so much in advance

The onboard graphics could be ATI still.
Base system controller could be chipset or a card reader.
I suggest you download this tool: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3908.html

It will provide you with hardware IDs at the very least, which you can either post here or google to get the correct drivers for the devices.

thank for the help i will download it and get back to you . Sorry what i should say is that I downloaded the video driver from there website and it was an ati driver while trying to install it it told me there was no hardware devices that it recognized. Also I should also say that after I installed the realtek drivers for the sound from the website that when I tried to uninstall the sound driver it gave me the big blue screen of death and restarted I dont know if that info helps but just thought Id add that

Base system device must be card reader.
    Multimedia Audio Controller: sound
    Video Controller (VGA Compatible): video

You can download drivers from this site, it's Korean but just put your mouse over the link and you will see the English name in the bottom of the page
