    Hi

I've joyned the forum recently because I was loking for help trying to find the right notebook.
Anyway I've mostly decided already what I'm looking for but would ask you guys for some help with the Clevo Brand, imputs and experiences with these machines. Are these machines Chinese or Japonese? Do they really last and Have great builds? Would you guys recomend the brand?
I'm looking for one in particular but in the country where I live (portugal) Clevo is sold with a new name and serial designation.

    Specifics:

Local name of the brand - Insystems

    the model I'm interested in - IN Systems 6170X 17" Pentium M760 2.0

    Processor: Intel Pentium M760 2.0GHz
    TFT 17" WUXGA+ (1920x1200)
RAM: 1024 Mb DDR II 533
    DVD+-RW DL
    HD: 100Gb 5400RPM SATA
    Nvidia G70 7800GTX 256Mb 128 bits

Any help and insight would be great, thank you

Clevo is Taiwanese. Infact not too many notebooks these days are manufactured in Japan. Taiwanese ODMs build the sheer majority for Japanese, American, Taiwanese, etc brands.

Clevo build is generally good. In the US, they are usually sold as Sager or Alienware so check those respective forums.. preferably the Sager as Alienware has a bad rep.

    Hi

Thanks for the info, I thought they were Chinese, eheh.
Okay I can try in the Sager forum if you guys think I'll find some more info, I was just looking for the general word on the brand as I know for sure the Insystems here in portugal is Clevo.

I cant really be sure of the model, I've been to the Clevo and Sager sites and did not find too close items.

stamar over here it costs 2070 euros, I guess thats almost the same in dollars, as for the core duo I cant find one for the same price and with the nice 7800gtx GPU, but I would love to find one of course.

Again thanks for the help guys
