Yesterday, I hibernated my 6625wd three times, and it jumped out of hibernation without even turning off the fan. Then I got  and shutted it down. I closed the lid while it was shutting down, and suddenly, it was in standby (yellow light flashing). Then i got even more  and opened the lid, 6625wd automatically jups out of standby and shuts down 1 second later. Is Vista really this stupid or do I have some hardware bug?

PS. This was the first time it bounced out of hibernation itself. It has never occured earlyer.

Uhh...you probably have your lid settings to go to standby when it's closed.

Change that in the Power Options.

In vista you can change what the power button, sleep button and closing the lid does to your laptop.

Before i was a bit surprised why my lappy was going into standby when I pressed the power button, its just a vista option, now I have it set the way I want it to be.

by the way you maybe have to change what the power button, sleep button, closing the lid does for every power scheme and on battery and not on battery.

well, yesterday i had a fun surprise and got to know that my windows explorer doent work properly. Im pretty shure its this ones fault:

security update for XML core services 4.0 sp1

After this update trough winupdate, hibernating, running programs as administrator got screwed. Now I can hibernate properly, but the windows explorer is still screwed. I cant runa any programs trough "Right-click->run as administrator" and that means I cant game nor open any other program manually as administrator, and that SUX

Vista IS that stupid. It even goes to StadBy while shutting down......

The only thing that helps is turning off the "Sleep mode on lid close" option.
