I got an iQon LM7WM from a friend to fix it up, because it would lock up seemingly randomly.
I have tested the memory with Hiren`s tools and the HD with Windows` scandisk, and with Hard Drive Senitel, and they all seem to be okay.
It seems that it freezes when there`s a larger file transfer going on. So far I`ve attempted copying over the wireless network and a pendrive, so I believe it`s not the HD`s full speed.
Since it seemed like the HD is faulty somehow, I got another HD, and I`ve tried to install XP on it, which almost worked out, but of course almost nothing works correctly on the freshly installed system, so I started to copy the drivers over, and then it froze up again. Interestingly it seems though that on a fresh copy it takes much less to freeze, about 20 MB, while on the `old` system, about 300 MB.
Also it seems to me that when it freezes, it even turns the sole cooler off, so I restart it asap always, no waiting around to see if it continues.
I`ve seen some stuff with weird computers, but I have no idea how to solve this one. Anyone could help out with some ideas?
