Just received my laptop and so far quite impressed-but im bumping into a few problems.
I cant get smart battery or the buttons on the right hand side of the notebook to work-I searched the forums for other threads and downloaded the "SMB_XP_FL90" driver. It installs fine, but on startup doesnt appear on the system tray. Instead i get the error "TODO: <File Description> has stopped working" I can boot it from the control panel but Im not sure if it does anything that way. Im also having trouble with the WOW keys (lights up but nothing happens) and working on that atm as well

also one thing that had me stumped was the lack of instruction with this machine. which drivers did I need to install? All of them? - thats what I did, with the exception of bluetooth and robson which werent on my machine. I was confused when installing 05_LAN. There were multiple exes and no install file in the main directory. I went to >DrvInst>IA32 and ran BDrvInst.msi. Is this correct? And what is the meaning of x86? One of the installs listed x64 and x86, and I installed the x86 on my Vista Home Prem 32bit.

Oh and one last thing.. did you guys reset on each "Reset now?" request? I took the tedious path to be safe but for future reference...

    thanks for your help guys.

I just went through all this last week, but for XP, not Vista32, so your mileage may vary.

I'm assuming you didn't get a drivers cd from your vendor...

    You want to go here:
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/TechSupportDriversDownloadPage.htm#FL90

Then, the Vista32 drivers are here:

Once they are all downloaded, unzip each into it's own separate directory -- there's a wild mishmash of folder-names, and it's easy to get confused. If you don't see a setup.exe in the main folder, look around in any x86 or *32 folders. And I rebooted after each one, just 'cause I figured it would be better than finding out after the fact that I hosed something up and would need to re-do everything from scratch! I also skipped the Robson/Bluetooth/TVtuner drivers, cuz I don't have them.

Once you've done all that, grab these:
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL9091/Drivers/030/AP/01.WirelessSelectSwitch/V1.0.0.5.zip
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL9091/Drivers/030/AP/02.Smart Battery/V1.0.0.9.zip
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL9091/Drivers/030/AP/03.Smart Watchdog/V1.0.0.15.zip
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL9091/Drivers/030/AP/04.Smart Meeting/V1.0.0.9.zip
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL9091/Drivers/030/AP/05.Smart Tracing/V1.0.0.6.zip
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL9091/Drivers/030/AP/06.Wowva/V1.0.0.5.zip

And again, unzip each into it's own separate directory, to avoid confusion with what you've installed so far... Yes, they all want you to reboot, too (at least the ones for XP did) :(

Lastly, once everything seems to be working well enough, don't forget to hit laptopvideo2go.com, and get some much faster drivers for your nv8600gt!

Not sure where you found that 'SMB_XP_FL90' driver... Could be that's the only thing amiss -- BEFORE you go through all those downloads and installs again, try first uninstalling your 'SMB_XP_FL90' driver, then do the http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL9091/Drivers/030/AP/02.Smart Battery/V1.0.0.9.zip
    driver.

    Anyways, hope that helps!

    -- added --
Say, be careful when you are downloading those files, for example, the SmartBattery driver's filename is 'V1.0.0.9.zip', and so is the SmartMeeting filename!
Now that I think about it, when downloading them (via firefox), I always specified a different name for the .zip files -- '01.zip', '02.zip' etc...
