I just got my new IHL90 and started using it. The touchpad scrolls fine in IE explorer, is jerky in firefox and does not work at all in office 2007 professional' programs. current driver is the 5.0.3.13 driver for elantech touchpad. My 90 is running 32 bit vista home premium. any fixes out there?

Yeah I have that same problem. When I scroll in firefox it lags like the scrolling and the mouse cursor like hell.

Is it an elantech? If so, it's the same problem as the HEL80 in this thread. My guess is a driver issue, but the latest from Elantech didn't seem to help. Maybe a reseller can put some pressure on Compal to get the issue fixed? [cough]Palladin! [/cough]something tells me that Elantech will put more effort into a request from their direct client instead of end users...

Try the Synaptics driver...that is what I am using and works OK in XP. Even third party drivers work better that Elantech's...

the software that comes with the elantech pad is KTP ware. Works great in IE and photoshop, doesn't work in office. also If I try to install my mouse software intelimouse 6.1 then the ktp software becomes inoperable. System also give me a no certified message for the ktp software. it also hangs for about 30 seconds when loading it. when removed the system boot s fine and scrolling is enabled.

ohh man, I hate elantech. I've given them multiple emails about that problem. They told me to update the driver... Somehow afterwards the driver managed to eat all my ram AND all of my pagefile with god knows what, and then crashed my computer. I figured this was an isolated incident, but then I saw the thread on this forum about it. Sent more emails asking for more information, possibly another patch fix etc. Didn't even get a return email.

Elantech can kiss my rear end, I will never willingly buy their products again, as they clearly don't REALLY care for the end user

That this is still an issue is troubling. Is there any indication that Elantech will ever fix this?

only elantech knows. their touchpad drivers suck, good news is that the vista drivers work
