    increasing fsb

    Has anyone been able to increase the fsb and lower Multiplyer. I am not looking to oc the CPU just increase the fsb.

    Its a HEl80

    Locked multiplier, so you will overclock the cpu if you increase the fsb. It's not possible anyway, since the oem has made everything it could to prevent it.

    And ever if you were able to do it, I don't think the north and south bridge would be able to follow.

    I see, I had forgotten about that fact intel locks their multipliers. Its something that came out a thread from a different place we were talking about increasing the fsb and laptops.

    I guess the most important thing as a reseller is to know how to purchase the barebones, do you have a Compal distributor in town, is it easy to contact them?

    I tried once in California and they were nasty to me.

    I don't know, but she was Compal distributor, in other words no competition, because I was wondering about the resseling aspect of the business, buying from her in other words. She was very arrogant as well, she was an Asian woman.

    I guess you save on the labor part of a prebuilt system. And were you planning to get the parts from reglar websites like newegg or try to find a high-volume dealer?
