when you move it back and forth a bit. like plastic rubbing or similar? i have someone with one and i have now heard it for myself and it def is creaky when the lid is rocked just a bit is seems okay from full closed to open and back but if the lid shakes a bit it creaks on one corner. this is the first creaky on i have seen so im wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
just curious thanks
-
I may have already worked out my creaks, but I don't recall any ever being there..
-
I don't recall any noise either. Although my hinges seem to be getting the tiniest bit of flex to them.
-
not on mine
-
hmm yeah he brought it in today and the left most corner of the lcd lid when you move it back and forth sound like the to halves of the plastic are creaking against each other. its really annoying. ill have to see if i can fix it somehow
-
okay well if this happens to you tighten the crap out of the hinge screws on the bottom there are 2 rubber inserts and the screws there are for the hinges. that stopped it. tomm im going to take them back out and reapply some blue thread lock to them
-
nnot mine ether but thanks for the info
-
yep once they were tightened up no squeaks i applied some thread lock and all is good.
-
mines doesn't squeak when I move the monitor up or down, but when I first touch it and it begins to move, it sounds crispy...like chips being bitten. It's flexing. is this normal?
-
yeah it will wear in. it just the glossy plastic rubbing a bit. it will wear out. thats normal on most i have seen
is anyone's lid a bit squeaky or creaky
