    I found this laptop on ebay but never heard of compal is it good for $400 ?

    You won't be able to play latest games in full details - but for 400$, I think its okay - but I do not know current prices of US market.

    Display is bad, but normal for current, so called, multimedia laptops - also it does not state which processor is in there - just Core 2 Duo - this is quite a range ...

    Always depends on what you want to do with it ...
