Boot from some sort of live CD. If they keyboard still doesn't work, there you have it: it's a hardware issue. If it does work, just reformat the laptop.

If I had this problem and if I were confused as to whether the problem is software or hardware, I would do one of the following:
1. Boot with a diagnostic disk or a Windows installation disk and see whether the keyboard keys work when booting from those. This might require finding a way to bring up a command console. (If you have any experience with Linux, booting from a Linux installation CD can also be an option.) (Edit: this is similar to what Hep! is suggesting. A Live CD is a good option.)
2. Or go into the BIOS and go into a field which accepts keyboard input for the keys you are worried about. E.g. you could go to the field for setting a BIOS password and type to see whether the BIOS records you keys. Then when you get to the place where it asks a 2nd time for a password then you purposely enter nothing so that you don't actually set a password.
If either of those two tests work, then you can be sure the problem is software.
There may be better ideas but someone else will have to voice them. -
thanks to Hep and Lemur for the fast answers, its seems that its a hardware problem so back to the shop on Moday....

You can lift up the keyboard bezel, this is with the power button and the touch sensative keys in it.
Then take out the 2 screws on the left and right.
lift the keyboard and check the flatcable if it's connected prop...... -
^^^ yup its prob the cable has worked its way loose a bit.. lift up the keyboard and try resetaing the cable this usually works to fix that issue

Hey zfactor, thanks a lt for the link, so I opend the laptop and cant see any problem with the keyboard cable...or the keyboard it self, my next qustion is:
is there a way to know if the problem is in the keyboard or samewhere else? just asking to know before I order a new keyboard

try unplugging the cable just to be sure.. then re seat the cable
go to the device manager find the keyboard and uninstall it, re-boot and let windows re-install it... i have seen this work on some occasions...
its hard to believe its the keyboard if its the whole one side...but its possible. do you have a external usb one you can plug in to make sure its working normally??
if after all this it still doesnt work id guess then that its the keyboard. i had almost the same issue with mine i fixed the cable and all was fine. unplug the cable fully and make sure its seated right when plugging it back in.. also make sure the black clip that holds it down is clipped tight in place -
hey zfactor, thanks again for youranswer, I did everything you wrote but nothing helps, I pluged an external keybord and it works...so I will order a new keybord...
thanks for all the help pll gave me
