Do any other USB peripherals work in your USB ports? If so, it sounds like the keyboard is DOA. If not, perhaps your USB ports are not functioning properly.

I have two of those keyboards. Just plugged in the first one into the first free usb port and actually typing with it. Works fine.
OS is Win XP Pro, SP 2 and patches. Keyboard is MS Comfort Curve Keyb. 2000 v1.0, KU-0459 reads the label under the keyboard.

Do any other USB devices work with your 6615WD?

BTW: For it's price the Comfort Curve 2k is a very nice keyboard!
