i read about the chipset of av4265, intel 915gm, is capable of handling ddr2 400/533mhz memory. Nevertheless, the ram on all av4200 series is of the ddr (333mhz) type. Is it possible for me to upgrade it to ddr2?

Can i stick one 1gb ddr2 400 into one ram slot while keeping the other factory 256mb ddr 333 on the other slot? If i were to do this, will the 1gb ram run on 400mhz or 333mhz frequency?

    thanks for any replies... :)

I don't know about that model off hand, but if you use the scanner at Crucial, it will tell you exactly what your machine can take.
