My Averatec 6100A suddenly crashed when I was seeing a movie. Now it doesn"t start anymore althought it seems to be all right. The screen is black but the fan runs. I can't run bios.

Are you sure the display is not out? Try hooking to an external monitor.

I tried hooking to an external monitor but nothing occured. It's possible to be of CPUIdle I instaled to freeze CPU (its specifications say sometimes it completely deactivates CPU even though some software runs). Sorry if my English's not so good. I apreciate you try to help me.

Try clearing CMOS. There is usually a jumper block on the mother board to clear cmos. Generally located near the battery. Also try reseating the ram.
