the picture was from a European site. Unfortunately I think only ONE Arima model came state side, under VoodooPC.

on the promising side, Arima's laptops are usually whitebooks/barebones! something the Sony SZ and Asus W7J are not (well Im assuming the W7J will likely be an ensemble).

the u.s. only gets the arima models that seem like they are made of cardboard....it's not fair.

Maybe Gateway will decide to wake up. There new 12.1 inch reminds me of the good old Gateways from back in the day. Unfortunately the other two that sold Amira are CyberpowerPC and ICPower. I guess its time to google and see if there's a higherated retailer that was selling that whitebox and could sell this pretty one.

Come on ISTNC and Rawpower. Sell Amira! =D!

Nice pics Goren. I really like the piano black finish on that, although since it might detract from the portability factor . . toting that all over the place = scratches . .

    Thanks,
    Chaz

i feel like the u.s. should really pick up the arima barebones b/c they would be a nice alternative to clevo as pretty much the only high powered gaming systems (other than the xps). i hear they are making the 17" sli, and they also use amd chips, making it highly likely that they will make a nice gaming machine with the turion x2 when it comes out. for now, all we have for amd gaming is pretty much msi, but their designs are rather bland.

Wow, nice find Goren! I like how you're tracking the smaller sized laptops with dedicated graphics! I'm still on the hunt for a small (~14in) and light (5 lbs and under?). Your signature and posts are very useful, thanks :)!
