    I dont mean to sound too "I told you so" but.. I cant stop thinking why people dont get it... when so many users in here for a whole year complains about several models having fan and heat issues, and even take their laptops apart to find out that the build quality of zeptos models are rubbish and therefor these problems keep occouring... people STILL buy the new "and improved" models which are just another boost in hardware which will make more heat and then they cant understand why they have heat issues afterwards...?

    If you want to save yourself alot of time and grey hairs... DONT BUY ZEPTO!
    I know its tempting since on the paper they deliver awesome machines to low prices.. but like everything else in this world.. you get what you pay for.

    @Dagnilsen
    Zepto have had alot of problems with all their laptops that dont have an integrated gpu.

    Just because some of us has had a unpleasant experience with Zepto doesnt mean everyone has problems. My 6625 has been nothing but great and awsome (ofc the slow BIOS updating was annoying but it wasnt that much of a problem) and now that they dont use Inventec that was the source of most problems the Zeptos should be even greater.

    There are thousands of people with Zeptos and having a great time and then there is a couple guys over here that has had an unpleasant journey with their own. That doesnt mean the whole company only makes crap.

    And the 8600GT issue is something Zepto cant do anything to help. The BIOS "fixes" from other companys just ramp up the fans so that the thermal cycling gets lower. That doesnt fix the problem only makes it take longer to appear.

    thomaskc.dk, who's talking about overheating issues now? Right now it's a fan issue which should be fixable with BIOS updates. The temperatures on the new models are pretty low compared to anything Zepto has released earlier on.
    I've got a couple of friends that has the Nox A15 and Mythos A15 and none of those are directly annoyed by the fan spinning up and down, it could be better yes, but its not something that makes product unusable, there might be a slip up when trying to correct it, but that doesn't mean it will never be fixed. There has been only one update to try and fix it and I've heard from other people that their fans have gone much more quieter with the new BIOS, others have had a increased fan usage. If it's related to different configuration i have no clue about, but that might be the case.

    I just got a new NOX a15 with vista 64bit. And the fan is really ing annoying, it turns off and on.
    I asked on live chat and they suggested reinstalling the os ? I doubt that would work but i'm trying it tomorrow. Also I checked in my bios and I could adjust "thermal trippoints => throttle on temperature" it was on 85degrees standard. And I could set it from 40-100 degrees.

    Anyone has a solution for the problem ? :/

    Don't change the "Throttle on Temperature" to below 85. It will cause your CPU to downclock itself at whatever temp you set it to. It will not cause your fan to come on earlier or latter. Try looking for a setting to change the active cooling threshold instead.

    from those numbers you have an old bios. Version 2723 to be exact. Version 3532 is the newest one available from here: ftp://ftp.zepto.dk/Notebooks/Nox_A15/BIOS/
    Make sure you read the instructions before doing the update though. In my experience Zepto's bios updates are straight forward, as long as you burn the iso image to a CDR or a DVD not a CDRW or DVDRW using isoburn.

    burned it on dvd, rebooted F12.
    Boots from dvd but nothing happens, I see a white "-" flickering on blackscreen for a while but then windows just starts.

    What could be wrong ?

    In order for the BIOS update disk to work. You have to set your SATA drive to IDE mode instead of the default AHCI mode.
