    Hi

it was one month ago, the sound on my IFL90 stopped to work :

in ubuntu, lspci detect the HD audio controler (realtek), and just Audacity detect the ALC268 audio card..

in winXP, it detect HD audio controler realtek, i did'nt know if there was an different one before the sound stop working (maybe winXP detected ALC268..don't remember), but i have no exclamation point, and the audio application (winamp, foobar) work normaly. (same in ubuntu).

The sound don't work in speaker and in external headphones ..

The realtek card is direct on the motherboard (it seems to be good , no burned)/ the speakers cable is direct linked to it (seems good too)/ the little card for external headphone and mic is linked to the motherboard and seems good too.

So i read in the forum that the quality of audio cable can be the reason to ... it's real ?

So first, i want to know what is the audio card detected on winXP and linux if possible on an IFL 90 working good.

Actually i use an firewire sound card to have some sound, but it's long and hardely to use it every time (linux driver not good).

So i need help and hope to sound reworking .. thanks

You could consider a USB sound card. They are rather cheap.

Other than that, I can't really suggest anything.

What information are you looking for? When I get home, I could check ...

It says: compliant with high definition audio :p / I think you ought to check by aida32 or something else. Maybe you shoul also use Linux Leopard and instal it directly from the web. As far as I know there are dedicated drivers for compal for LL realese.
