    hey all,
im trying to use the integrated camera for voicechat via soundsight. however,im finding that its almost useless becuase any sudden movements result in blurring and choppyness, has anyone else tried using it for this and if so have you been able to get better results?

This is the exact reason I do not like intergrated cameras. I bought a very nice USB one that is nearly perfect. Very low lag, works with limited light. I spent around 120.00 for it.. It beats my friends intergrated.

azriyeti, I too experienced the same thing on my Hgl-30.

I noticed that in dim lit rooms, sudden movements do result in lag. But after using it in very lit rooms, there wasn't lag at all.

one thing i was able to do was greatly increase the visibility in dimly lit rooms by decreasing gamma and increasing brightness settings under the camera properties. Havent tried video capture in brightly lit rooms but i will momentarily.

i retract my previous statement. a well day lit room has much less lag than a dim night time room. however, its still a little choppy in daylight conditions. anyone have any idea of why this is the case? not that it matters, but im curious.

Mine works perfectly well. It performs excellent under badly lit conditions. The colors are bright, the image is sharp. I don't see what's wrong with this camera, it's better than most $40 webcams.

that's interesting. could i ask what settings you put your camera to? maybe i can change my settings a bit to see if my results are just like yours.

i'm using the program that came with the hgl-30 (on the driver cd). it's called MediaOffice.
