Try the PC World support page. For reasons best known to DSG there's no direct link from their front page to this.

HI, I know this is an old thread but I just thought I would say that Phillips Xseries are supported by the TechGuys as per web address below

    http://www.pcservicecall.co.uk

For some reason cannot add link-oh well.

I have had no problems using this to update my X55 (which is very cool).

I am new to this so please excuse my question on the thread.
I have a Philips X57 and the screen is constantly show diagonal colour lines (wide) down the screen. When using an external monitor or tv the screen in fine. I take it the graphics card is ok.

What can I do to fix my laptop screen? I appreciate any help. . Much Thanks.

If external displays are OK then there is a problem with either the internal display or the cable connecting it.

However, first check if the display is being fed at the right frequency: Right click on the desktop and select Properties > Settings > Advanced and check the refresh rate is 60Hz.

The next check would be to see if the connectors for the cable for the display have worked loose. This passes through one of the hinges and can cause one end to work loose. It's a case of removing / replacing the connectors. I would start with the end connecting on the mainboard. This might be under the keyboard. However, I can't help with getting inside the X54.
