Can you describe the noise you're hearing a little more? Is it a high-pitched whine?

Yes I do have the same problem, but I found a fix. Turn off your integrated webcam, either in the device manager, or if you installed the application, right click on the icon on your taskbar, and turn it off. It should fix the problem.

Does it happen to only come up when you resume from standby or hibernate? If so, then I get the same noise. It's got something to do with the CPU, and I don't know how to get rid of it, except to reboot.

Yeah but there's a fix on the microsoft website.
But he's talking when his laptop is idle, there's a little ''electrical'' noise, on my laptop it's because of the integrated webcam.
    Don't know why...
