Hi guys i Need to know if a s96 multidrive fits in a hel80 slot i just bought one because i was going to buy a s96j but instead i bought a hel80 because i need a notebook that had a fingerreader so i can program with that component. the other component that i bought was a core 2 duo t5600 that i think that it works with a 945pm and a sata toshiba harddrive with 100gb and a CORSAIR DDR2 1gb memory 533MHz i hope that every component is compatible with the compal hel80

The drive is a standard slim drive which should work in the Compal, the only problem is you might not have the right brackets to secure the drive, I know Asus sends them with the barebone laptop hopefully the Compal's do too.

    Aurawolf is right on. :)

The drive is industry standard and the only thing you need to look for is the brackets so you can secure it to your system. The HEL80 comes with a small little bracket that is held on by two screws in rear end of the drive. This bracket will pop through your memory compartment where you can put a screw in to fasten it to the system.

The rest of your components will work fine in your new HEL80 :)
