    Hi all,

I have a Zepto 6214w and it is a nice machine.
    Fast and stable.

Only thing I am having trouble with is the s-video out.
I can not get it to work.

First of all I noticed it is not a standard s-video out as far as I know. But I found a converter to tullip that fits from my old Laptop.
Actually I find it a bit of a pitty that Zepto does not supply a converter.
Most Notebook manufacterers do I think.

Is there anybody who knows how to solve this one?
Or is there anybody else having this problem?
Maybe advice where to buy a converter?
    Cheers and thanks.

here are pics of the converters I tried:

    Hi there,

you can use any S-Video cable without a problem

We have tested several setup and they all work. Disregard that the port has extra pins. Just connect your TV and notebook with a straight S-Video cable, that should the trick for you.

the go to properties on desktop - settings - enable screen 2 and you are moving.

Remember to set your TV to SVIDEO in not just video

    Thanks for the reply

Indeed the s-video does work with a svideo cable.
A pitty however I found that the output does not support composite.
At least I can not get it to work.

I found out that most notebook snowdays do not support that. My old Dell did however with a converter.

So the problem lies in that the a simple converter to composite will not work any more. I ordered a svideo to SCART plug to solve my problems.

    Cheers and thank

i got it working from black and white to colour, i just changed the tv out format to PAL because i have a PAL tv set, its easy to do you can either do it in the built in nvidia nview tv tuner tool or download a nvidia bios tool and change it in there. worked fine for me

Just to piggy-back on this post. I haev a zepto with a 7600 card and have successfully connected it to my tv using a s-video lead and selecting the cloning thing in the advance graphics properties. The thing that i want to know is that when i selct teh duel monitor option a signal comes out from the s-video and into the tv but it's just the zepto logo and i dont seem to be able to do anything with it. Am i doing something wrong or do i require a specific program to get it working too. The only reason i ask is because the resolution is much better on this and the picture fits perfectly on the screen (even after all teh adjustments on the cloning option.)

    thanks
