Ok here is my story with zepto denmark and its distributor: play.sm (for italy).
17/10: Ordered a mythos a15 (p9500, gef. 9650 512mb ddr3 1680x1050 zbd, 4 gigs ram, 250 giga 7200 rpm hd)
21/10.: they received my payment and started production
3/11: "can i have some news?" no answers
18/11: received the notebook, defected.
19/11: after some testing i decide to contact them, they asked for some pics. Pics sent.
21/11: they contact me, weirdly, asking if i've got they keyboard i request. I requested UK keyb, play.sm thought IT keyboard, zepto.dk installed US keyboard (cool, not?)
30/11: after a lot of non-answers i decide to ask for the refund. Customer service works just bad.
3/12: still no answers. Hey, a live chat came up, use it. I do it. I get the ups code (payd from them).
12/12: the ups delivery boy is here. Notebook sent.
15/12: live chat stops working. (international support)(on vacation until 5/1, that means 8..)
18/12: zepto.dk received my notebook.
2/1: 10 mails sent, no answers. Nor from zepto.dk neither play.sm.
8/1: live dk support is up, "you have to contact the italian distributor".
8/1: email sent, answer after some mins:"sorry zepto.dk do not answer us as well, we had to check your notebook was really defected. You should get your money back soon since we made the back-payment on january, the 2nd".
9/1: money received.
Ok this is my story. I just wasted time and anger. At the end of the story I just say that one online notebook seller cannot have a crappy customer service as they have. Notebook are kinda cheap but when I buy one thing I need a good support too, not only good notebook specs.
So, no way I will buy a zepto anymore, and I will never suggest it a friend of mine. As I said before I'm talking about zepto.dk + play.sm that has nothing to see with zepto.usa, that's another story. Very well working story.

Good that you got it finally sorted out.
I'd comment AFTER the notebook was sent back to the seller:
That's rather normal amount of time those things take to process. At least from what i've learned in my work, in which i deal with such things. Usually the problem is that the seller has to make shure that they receive the refund from the manufacturer / a new similar notebook in return BEFORE they refund the customer.
We'll see if i'll run into problems with my Mythos. I bought it from a local reseller and they're going to have a customer who knows his rights and the local law.

Thanks for the update.
The good news is that you got your money. The bad news is how long it took.

Kinda nice to have 3 months of no laptop and now money :S . I'm dealing with their customer service right now to, and not very happy to say the least. Wish I could get a refund, but to late for me sadly.

Well, now that you have your refund, are you still in the market for a notebook? What are you considering? I guess we all have some sort of buyers remorse even if there are no problems since technology increases so rapidly. Up until recently, prices have fallen as well, but I suspect that hedonic pricing will cease with lower growth expectations.

Governments typically reference computers when defending hedonic inputs when calculating inflation rates. For example, if you bought a computer two years ago for $1500, a similar computer today for the same $1500 would have a faster CPU, GPU, and a larger hard drive. Never mind that you are using the new computer for the same purpose as the old one, the government reckons that you have gained regardless of price, the performance is greater. The government reckons that the price of the new computer is lower than the old one even if the new computer costs more, because it performs better, hence, lower inflation. -
yep.
I feel better now

at least he has his money back.. good for you bro..

Time to order from us this time around

if my future project about getting a job in the states goes well and i'll need a notebook, you will be the first person i'll get in touch with

Well I hope it goes well for you. I know it is very hard for most to get a work visa right now.
