One step at a time :) and 2.93? Hmm.. That would be quite a FSB pump. I can barely stay stable goin from 3.3 to 3.56. I've got some ideas tho, I'll be toying around with them a bit more when I get back from my trip. And hopefully these 8.12 ATI drivers will take some focus off the CPU and let these gpu's do their job.

AW locks the multipliers in the BIOS even for the extreme CPUs.

Wow.. Good to know. I'm always finding reasons to lose more respect for AW.

Maybe someone should make a definitive post about steps to take to OC your CPU and/or GPU. If I knew what was involved and everything I would be more than happy to do it. I think it would help organize things a little better and make it easier for people to find info on OC'ing. Just a suggestion.

Intel should release a mid-range extreme, say the X8500.

It would be way cheaper than the X9100 and be 2.54GHz. But it would overclock like crazy.

They wuold sell like hotcakes, I'm sure.

Then they might as well make a Pentium Dual Core Extreme @ 1.6 GHz. Then, we just OC it to 2.8 GHz and its the same as a X9000 for maybe 1/3 of the price.

The have a Q9200 Quad core......

Overclocking- You have to be careful with certain overclocks unless everyone is going to be sitting with a bunch of heavy paper weights.
