    Hello all

    About 2 years ago i got a znote 6224W with 2.0 GHz T7250 CPU and a 8600M GT 512 MB GPU

I'm thinking about upgrading my CPU and if possible my GPU. But i dont how much i can upgrade. I saw a post here at notebookreview that the new BIOS for my laptop supported T8xxx/T9xxx CPU's, does this means that i can use any T8xxx/T9xxx CPU as long as it's a socket P with a 65nm technology?? Or do i have to match the bus speed, cach and stepping to my current CPU??

Also is it possible to upgrade my GPU?? And what do i have to look for?? and where do i buy it??

You can upgrade the CPU, to what exactly I'm not sure, I do know they sold them with higher end CPU's than the T7250. The readme for the latest bios states one of the changes to be support for the T8xxx and T9xxx processors. As for the GPU. No you can't upgrade it unless you change the motherboard as well!!!!

But isnt the 8600M GT a MXM module?? acording to Nvidias site is it and there by is should be possible to change it without changing to motherboard. I just looked at ebay, there were tons of 8600M GT card. but since i already have a 8600M GT card, i would like to upgrade to a 9600, which also should be a MXM-II, as the 8600M is

Anyhew, im gonne open my laptop this weekend and check if my GPU is a MXM module or not.

    But thansk or the reply

You cannot replace the GPU on the motherboard as it is soldered onto the motherboard. Pretty crappy yes...
