    Hi everyone, i am new here

    I boughtt he 3250H1 for a bit over 6 months now. The cooling fan used to come on for a little while only when I am doing something complex and would be off the rest of the time. However, recently it will only be off if I have the AC adapter plugged in and if I running on battery mode the fan would be on the whole time and give me reallly poor battery life. I think this happened after I updated the BIOS...how can I turn the fan off? Thank you everyone!

    ps. i have tried auto fan learning...but that doesn't do anything.

    something simple to try would be cleaning out the LT, if its dusty, it can clog up the vents and make cooling harder. So get some compressed air and try clearing the vents.

    but you don't think updating the BIOS has anything to do with it right?

    LT = laptop.

    Bios update could have done something to it, but sometimes its just as simple as dust building up in the vents and upsetting the cooling process, which would cause the fans to be on more.
