I have a external keyboard and mouse. This started happening yesterday, and i had this laptop for a little over a year. While gaming, surfing internet, etc my mouse turns off for a couple seconds and turns back on. I'm not sure if my keyboard does it, but it stopped working with the usb port on the left side of the hel80 a long time ago so i just plugged it in one of the usb ports on the right side.

I'm pretty sure its the usb port since i have been using that mouse for a long time. btw i dont have a warranty anymore, so I want to fix it myself :( Reinstall drivers maybe? or my usb ports are dying?

try plugging the mouse into another desktop or laptop, might not be the USB ports. check to see if it needs fresh batteries as well.

My monitor has a USB hub in it that is plugged into the left side, occasionally the whole thing goes out, and I have to unplug it and plug it back in (no restart required) I wonder if it's an infrequent ACPI/USB driver bug.

I have the same problem for a while now, both right usb ports dont work anymore. And in device manager there is 1 unknown device, ID = ACPI\FX0102\1.
Maybe related to it, all drivers were insatelled and reinstalled for good measure.
