When I take my HEL80 out of standby in vista, it drops the resolution all the down to the lowest setting. usually after a few seconds it reverts back, but this is getting very annoying since it resized all of my windows when it does it.

    anyone else experiencing this?

No, Blame MS for asking people to buy their O/S just to get a more thorough bug test done.. (OS < SP1 release)

Nvidia could write the best drivers on the planet, but they are still at the mercy at what MS gives them to work with through the OS.

Even birds know that nividia dropped ball with vista drivers... they didn't even bother to make ones for my nForce3 chipset..is Microsoft there to blame too?

I daresay yes.nVidia was forced to write a whole lot of code to support Vista properly. And now nVidia drivers are much better than they were...

I guess this wouldn't be an appropriate Vista-related thread without knocking the new OS, so ... ahem:
[Insert anti-Vista tirade here before proceeding with useful comments]

I do not have that problem currently, although I did have something like that at one point. I think changing driver's did it for me. I am using 101.41. Did you flash to the latest Bizcomm BIOS version 116B?

This same thing happens on my HP dv2000t with a GMA950, so it's clearly not nVidia drivers.
