    will opening up the plates under my ifl90 void my warranty?

    whats a ifl90? i dont think opening anything will void it, but changing parts may void it, destroying "warranty void if ..." stickers will.

    its a notebook, hence why its on NBR.

    i know that, im not silly, im a geek ;) . i wanted to know what notebook... anyway i found out it was a compal notebook...

    You have to check with your vendor to be sure. However for the Compal notebooks opening the bottom plates to clean it, or to change or reseat components will almost never void your warranty. These are not the crazy multi-national brands that put those stupid "...void your warranty" stickers everywhere, these are custom built Channel notebooks that YOU own, and YOU can do with as you please in this regard.

    However if you should damage something while doing it, that would not be covered by your warranty.
