Often when I try to return to normal operation from my screensaver when not plugged in, I get an error message saying my vtdisp display driver is not working properly. The screen is all funky, colors weird, etc. I have to restart. Anybody know why this happens and/or how I might fix it?

I'v got an Averatec 3225 laptop, 512 MB RAM, running Windows XP.

    3225 user,

I'm not sure why you have this behavior, but I recommend you UNINSTALL your video drivers (located in control panel => system => hardware => device manager) and reinstall the newest ones located at http://www.averatec.com/customercare/3200dl.htm

You may also want to try another screen saver.

Try this before we go any further.
