these dont even come with the dvd drive but the price was soooooo good i could not try them. can anyone tell me (i ordered one last time from zipzoomfly but it came with the dvd drive) how these super bare bones come. i know any slim dvd drive will slide in and fit but what about the door trim. do these bare bones come with the plastic piece to make them fit right or do you HAVE to buy the clevo one. i guess i could change my order but they want like 70-80$ just for the dvd drives that can be had for like 30$ on newegg..

so has anyone done this and if so what did you do to trim the drive. they appear to be standard flat doors like the ones toshiba use among ohers so i may be able to score them even on ebay..

info fast please these are for military family we have on the way overseas... i got them 2 day air so i hope to see them asap.

    lmk with any info thanks

Some DVD drives from Toshiba laptops won't work. I think it is a drive firmware difference.

remember guys these are stripped systems.. as per a pm with xotic just be sure YOU ARE WILLING TO HANDLE the leg work and support on these.. some people are okay with that and others are not.. so that will depend on you. i know for sure this place is legit but i highly doubt they do much after sale warranty in which case you would have to go back to compal directly.. just a though...

Well what's the real question regarding the barebone notebooks.
We do sell them to several people and to several countries, warranty goes trough us when you bought them.
So think about us in the future: www.btonotebooks.nl

On the site you can only find the end-user price no dealer price.
Let me check the price on Monday and I will post it or send you an PM.
