i purchased 1 in 2007 and started with overheat problem. First thought it's the AC adapter, in order to keep the laptop clashed, i had to wiggle the plug for keeping on. Then, i believe it's an AC Adapter burnt out problem, so bought a replacement, it's NOT working and the battery's dead totally. NOW, I invested more money on AC Adapter and the laptop switch on button NOT EVEN HAS RESPONSE, TOTALLY DEAD, WHAT COULD BE WRONG? Please help to walk me thru what goes wrong and thanks.

This is a forum to ask questions regarding what notebooks people should buy. If you have a problem with your laptop, ask for help in the designated forum for the model/manufacturer.

In your case, I can tell you that Westinghouse laptops aren't very popular, and your particular model has been discontinued for a while now. I don't even know if they make laptops anymore.

The problem might be the battery, not the AC adapter. However, you are probably better off getting a new machine. This one is pretty dated (even in 2007 it was low-end budget quality) and it is possible the hardware is just too old for it to function.
