I wasnt around when this happend, but it was ran on battery and it kinda just shut down I was told, like as if it was out of battery I'm guessing. If I turn it on now it goes on for a few secs with a black screen then just shuts down again so seems like its out of battery. But when I put charger on it still wont power up, the battery light thats supposed to light orange isnt on whether the lappy is turned on or off so its probably not charging. The light on the adapter on the charger is green. I've tried in several electricity outlets.
So is it my charger or battery thats broken? How would I go about getting this fixed? What is the warranty if no extended warranties were ordered?

I have the same problem with my 6625WD and thats why I sent it to maintenance last month. I got my laptop back last week but the problem was not fixed (there was a note "no errors found" with Delivery Note). My laptop came from Zepto's maintenance in Denmark so I was hoping for a solution.
The battery was loaded to 50% there (in Denmark), so I wonder what really is going on? I had sent my ac adapter and power cable with the laptop too, so I guess they didnt try to use it.
The problem started when my laptop was shutdown like it was out of power, but the power cable (ac adapter) was connected to it. I was unable to start it again.
6625's screen brightness seems to change depending on if power cable is on or not. When I try to start my laptop (without power cable) it works just fine (because maintenance was recharged it to 50%) but if I put the power cable on the screen starts to change brightness between light and dark, battery icon does the same thing (on & off) and Windows Vista tells me that charger keeps going on & off every second. So... using ac adapter doesnt recharge the battery.
Sorry for this long and a little unclear post but I hope someone knows what I can do after this was not fixed in maintenance.
btw, I'm from Finland and I bought my laptop from Digicomp. I used my laptop 6 months without any problems. -

Could it be similar to a experience I had?
A few weeks ago I thought the adapter for my Znote 3415W was dead, as not even the led worked, but then suddenly a day after or so it suddenly worked when I tried it a last time, really really strange as it didn't work anywhere but then again suddenly worked for no reason, and it had been choppy in Vista telling me it's on and off before it happend and it for some reason just died. -
Tyven, it was running on battery, no charger connected.
I havent noticed the charger going on and off on earlier occasions but I know at times when I've had the lappy in hibernation mode and come back some time later the battery doesnt seem to have charged to full or as much as I would have expected. I'm guessing my charger is the issue.
Dont know where I'd be able to get a simliar adapter to try with, would be nice if some Zepto reprensentative could shed some light on this as it seems this is a rather common issue. -

Chargers do malfunction. While most die, there's the possibility of the voltage becoming too low. Most third party PSUs have a connector which fits the Zepto notebooks and it's useful having a spare PSU around.
One check is to see is the battery is charging when the charge state is below 95%. I use the battery info page of RMClock to check this since it is able to report the battery charge / discharge current. If the battery is more than 95% charged then a charge cycle is not initiated. This is to avoid numerous top-up charges wearing out the battery.
I had one disturbing incident over a month back when the battery charge light stayed on even when the battery was fully charged. I turned off the machine and removed / replaced the battery and the problem went away (and hasn't yet returned). However, it does suggest that there is some residual battery management glitch in the latest BIOS.

It seems that my reseller (digicomp.fi) doesnt want to answer my e-mails.
It would cost about 100€ to buy another AC Adapter (an adapter, transport & taxes) from fi.zepto.com, so that is not an option.
This sucks because I have no other way to test if my current AC Adapter is broken since the official maintenance (Zepto in Denmark) already told me that my 6625WS was working fine. -

The Zepto PSU is a standard component (mine is made by Liteon). I would expect that you can buy another compatible PSU locally for no more than about 30. 19V, 90W and a plug which fits the Zeptos. From memory, a PSU which fits Asus will probably fit the Zepto but some computer shops usually stock replacement PSUs with several power tips.

Thank you John for the useful information. But if the lappy is still under warranty one would expect to get it fixed for free.

If you could borrow another compatible PSU you could quickly determine whether the current PSU is the problem.

My local shop doesnt sell PSU's because those usually just come with a laptop.
And every PSU that my family and friends got has a different tip so its not compatible.
Does this basicly mean that I have to buy one from fi.zepto.com?
But.. there may be some PSU at other finnish web shops but those are more expensive and compatibility is uncertain.
what was broken in my 6324w?
