    can you use the whitebook on your lap with out over heating it?

    I have used it on my lap and often use it on my bed when I'm to lazy to get outta bed :) No problems with it and my fans very rarely even come on. In fact, the only time I actually use it on a hard surface like a desk or table or something is when I'm playing a game or doing something intensive.

    same here. Gets a bit warm, but I wish it would actually get hotter sometimes with this weather up here in NY.

    Ooh, I'll second that. I was just out shoveling 8 inches of snow off the driveway.

    And I'll also agree that you'll have no problems using this laptop on your lap.

    Glad to hear this, Rk is shipping my unit to me tonight and I should have it tomorrow. Glad they are only 3 hours away as Saturday shipping is pretty reasonable.
