    windows or my computer?

    I got a new averatec lap top for christmas and sometimes right after i turn it on it shows the AVERATEC page and then goes to my name for me to log in and then it will automatically restart. But a lot of times, when I first turn it on, it will say that there was an error when someone turned off the computer or something and then it will start after a minute. Also, when i finally do log onto my name and im actually on the lap top, the first thing that pops up is one of the send error report or dont send messages about there being a problem with windows...do you guys think that i just need to reformat my computer and see how it goes from there because windows can be crap?.. or do you think that its something wrong with my laptop.

    I would just start fresh with the recovery disks! I bet that would solve your problem.
