at first i thought these screens were seriously awesome. and dont get me wrong they look awesome... but after using them for around 4-7 days now each has at least 1 dead pixel and one of them has a whole cluster of them. not so cool now imo.... the one has a totally dead one and it may be even more than one since its a bit bigger then a normal single pixel size.. the second one has a stuck red one and ive tried everything i could to clear it including rubbing it and all the online programs out there nothing has worked..
the third one which is a wxga+ i sent back since it started as what looked like a small cluster of pixels and then became about the size of a nickel.. when you turn it off and let the screen cool down it goes back to a small cluster but then after a hour or two its back to about the size of a nickel..
imo these screens they are using today suck bad... i am def upset since the wsxga+ is one of the nicest looking screens color wise and overall ive seen on a 15" laptop.. wayyyyyy better than those nasty samsung's on the dell's and imo even better than the lg dell uses..
just figured id share my frustration in this situation.. compal has a 5 dead pixel policy so one or two is acceptable.. and the 0 dead pixel plan is 1994 extra.. not worth it imo..
thanks for listening

I heard you man, and sorry for that. I have never bought the dead pixel warranty and never had issues. Are those glossy screens?
-
yep all glossy i wanted matte but they are out of stock right now..
-
I have also another lap with glossy and the same thing, the dead pixels looks like clouds, don't they?
-
yep sucks. even though its only one tiny one it looks a lot bigger than that, what bother me even more are the stuck ones that are bright red and just will not unstick
-
Yep, just did some search for dead fixels, founf a few. And once I said that the screen is great.
wow so far 3 for three wsxga+ chimei jfl92
