    wtf? battery lasts like 1 1/2 hours?

    My 2100 w/ everything set on conserving power only last about 1 1/2 hours under normal use. Is this normal? Its brand new.

    Averatec is well known for having terrible battery performance. While 1.5 hours sounds extreme that may be normal. Can anyone confirm?

    1.5 hrs is only slightly subpar for normal use. Not sure about setting it to conserve battery life, however, turning down video ram helps there. Probably worth an exchange if you can, but otherwise, I recommend you buy the 8-cell battery. I've seen people getting it for $80 from MSY, contact " Steve Yu" about it.
